JOOLA Rhyzen CWX is a professional-class long pips table tennis rubber from the JOOLA Precision Line, developed in collaboration with legendary defensive master Chen Weixing to meet the demands of the modern defensive game. Approved by the ITTF, this rubber features a hard Momentum sponge (~50° ESN scale, estimated from its Hard characteristics) with integrated Tensor technology and a unique long pips structure (1.6 mm height, 1.5 mm width, 1.5 mm spacing), offering high control (90/200, ~14/20), good spin (94/200, ~9.5/20), and limited speed (57/200, ~6/20)—all characteristic of a defensive rubber. It delivers a low trajectory (6/10) and high precision (9/10), making it ideal for extreme chop defense, undercut strokes, and disruption play at the table. Optimized for the plastic 40+ ball, Rhyzen CWX offers maximum control, flexibility, and the ability to execute a wide variety of defensive and disruptive shots, making it a top-tier choice for modern defensive players who play both at the table and mid-distance. With its light weight (~30–40 g cut, depending on thickness) and durability, JOOLA Rhyzen CWX is a high-quality option that embodies the technology of the JOOLA Precision Line, suitable for the highest levels of defensive play.

Technical Construction & Performance Overview:

Sponge (~50°):
The hard Momentum sponge (~50° ESN scale, pink color) with integrated Tensor technology is tailored for undercut strokes and disruptive play, providing sufficient dynamics and control. Compared to JOOLA Rhyzen ZGR (~50°, 97/200 speed), Rhyzen CWX is much slower (57/200) but offers significantly more control (90/200) and spin (94/200), better suited for defensive play. Compared to Dr. Neubauer A-B-S (~45°, ~7/20 speed), the sponge is harder, enabling more dynamic and active strokes. Versus Butterfly Feint Long III (~38°), the CWX sponge is harder, offering a shorter dwell time but more control and disruptive effect.

Surface:
The grippy microstructured long pips surface (94/200 spin) is flexible, with tall, narrow pips and large spacing, optimized for the 40+ plastic ball. This design enables strong spin reversal and disruption, especially in chop defense, undercut strokes, and disruption at the table. Compared to JOOLA Octopus (OX, ~8/20 spin), Rhyzen CWX offers more spin and control, especially with sponge. Against TSP Curl P1R, CWX has a grippier surface, providing more disruptive potential and the ability for active strokes.

Tensor Technology:
Integrated into the hard Momentum sponge, Tensor enhances dynamics and undercut potential while maintaining high control (90/200). Compared to JOOLA Rhyzen Fire (~45°, 98/200 speed), CWX is much slower but offers more control and spin reversal, suited for defensive gameplay.

Microstructured Pips:
The flexible, narrow pips (1.6 mm height, 1.5 mm spacing) ensure maximum spin reversal and disruption, especially in mid-distance chop defense. The surface also allows for accurate ball placement at the table, supporting high precision (9/10).

Weight & Durability:
JOOLA Rhyzen CWX is lightweight (~30–40 g cut with sponge, ~25 g OX), lighter than JOOLA Rhyzen CMD (~44 g) and much lighter than JOOLA Dynaryz AGR (~49.37 g). This lightness allows pairing with heavier blades like Butterfly Defensive Pro without compromising racket balance. The rubber is also durable, maintaining pip flexibility and grip even under heavy use—making it an economical choice.

Available in 0.5 mm, 0.9 mm, and OX (no sponge) versions, tailored for the modern defensive player needing maximum control, spin reversal, and disruptive power. Offered in red and black, compliant with ITTF standards. Recommended to use water-based glue (e.g., JOOLA Lex Glue) when assembling with sponge.

Technical Ratings & Game Characteristics:

Speed (57/200, ~6/20):
Extremely slow, optimized for defense—ideal for chop defense, undercut strokes, and disruptive shots. Compared to JOOLA Rhyzen Ice (103/200), it's much slower but offers greater control and disruption. Speed is similar to Butterfly Feint Long III (~6/20), but CWX offers more dynamics due to its harder sponge.

Spin (94/200, ~9.5/20):
Thanks to the grippy microstructured surface and flexible pips, CWX generates excellent spin reversal, especially in chop defense and undercut strokes. While not as spinny as Rhyzen ZGR (121/200), it’s close to TSP Curl P1R (~9.5/20). The low trajectory (6/10) further supports spin return and disruptive effect, particularly from mid-distance.

Control (90/200, ~14/20):
The hard (~50°) sponge and flexible pips offer excellent control—especially for chop defense, table disruption, and undercut strokes. Compared to JOOLA Rhyzen CMD (112/200), control is lower, but sufficient for modern defensive play. It provides more control and active shot options than Dr. Neubauer A-B-S.

Trajectory (6/10):
Low trajectory, ideal for chop defense and disruption close or mid-distance from the table. Compared to JOOLA Rhyzen Ice (8.5/10), the trajectory is lower, providing more pressure and disruptive effect. Blocking and disruptive shots are stable and effective.

Precision (9/10): High precision that reduces shot dispersion.

Lightweight: ~30–40 g (cut with sponge), ~25 g (OX), suitable for pairing with heavier blades.

Durability: Retains its properties after intensive use.

Momentum, Tensor, and Micro-structured Pips Technologies: Ensure control, spin reversal, and disruption effect.

High quality: ITTF approved, suitable for high-level competition.

Compared to the JOOLA Rhyzen Ice, Rhyzen CWX offers more control and disruption effect but less speed and spin. Compared to the Butterfly Feint Long III, the Rhyzen CWX is grippier and more dynamic. Users emphasize the rubber’s “maximum control level,” “strong spin reversal,” “high precision,” and “disruption effect,” especially for modern defensive players. JOOLA Rhyzen CWX is ITTF approved, suitable for high-level competition, especially for advanced defensive players who emphasize control, spin reversal, and versatility. Its balance of control, spin, and disruption effect enables accurate undercut strokes, stable blocks, effective disruptive shots, and chopping defense, while the “Momentum” sponge, “Tensor” technology, and micro-structured surface provide outstanding feel and performance. JOOLA Rhyzen CWX – control, disruption, and German craftsmanship!
